Riding a bicycle along a path in Yosemite Valley is one of those rides you will never forget. over 12 miles of bike paths line the valley floor and many of the scenic views are somewhere along the way. Most of the valley floor is flat and any ride should be a breeze for anyone.

Bicycles are cruiser type, tandem or hand pedaled.

Cyclists can also follow the rules of the road and travel along the roads in Yosemite.

By law, anyone under the age of 18 must wear a helmet.

One thing to consider is that on busy weekends, touring on a bike may be the fastest way around the valley floor especially between Curry Village and Yosemite Village.

Looking for a little wildlife? Try the ride from Curry Village towards Happy Isles then around to the Horse Stables over the bridge, right to Yosemite Village then back to Curry Village. This is an easy ride that covers most of the eastern valley floor.

Want to make a day out of your bike trip? Adding a little distance to the above ride by heading to Lower Yosemite Falls after Yosemite Village. Things to do along the ride include stopping at Happy Isles and checking out the Nature Center, then move on to the Mirror Lake Trailhead, park the bikes then hike up to Mirror Lake, stopping on the bridge between Upper Pines and Lower Pines Campground will give you a great picture opportunity of the Merced River looking towards Yosemite Falls. As you make your way back to and past Curry Village, stop in for a slice of pizza at the Pizza Patio. After you grab a bite, head on over to Yosemite Village and check out the Ansel Adams Gallery or the Yosemite Museum, then head over to the Lower Yosemite Falls and enjoy a short walk up to the base of the falls. Cool off in the spray of the falls and then head around to Yosemite Lodge, the Swinging Bridge and Sentinel Bridge (and a great photo op for Half Dome at the bridge) and enjoy the final ride along Southside Drive back to Curry Village.

Off-trail riding, mountain biking, and use of motorized bicycles or scooters on bike paths are not permitted in Yosemite National Park. Also, rental bikes are not allowed on the Mirror Lake Hill and Yosemite Falls Trail

There are two places to rent bicycles in the valley:
