North Pines Campground is located at the east end of Yosemite Valley and is open approximately April to September (weather dependant).

Click the "Reserve Now" icon to the right to make a reservation at North Pines campground.

There are 81 campsites at North Pines that can accomodate RV's up to 40' in length and trailers up to 35' in length.

North Pines Campground is one of the three reservation campgrounds in Yosemite Valley. Upper Pines Campground and Lower Pines Campground , the other reservable campgrounds are basically across the street from each other and within walking distance. See the map below. The Wild and Scenic Merced River flows adjacent to the campground. Looking across the river is Lower Pines Campground.

There is a trail that heads east from the campground that will take you to the Mirror Lake trail and some outstanding views of Half Dome then as you trek on further, will take you up into Tenaya Canyon

There are no water or electric hookups for RV's in the campground. There is a dump station and water station for RV's at the entrance to Upper Pines campground that is free to use for registered campers.

Restrooms are spread throughout the campground and the toilets are flush type.

Each campsite includes a fire ring, a table and bear proof food lockers [33"(D)x45"(W)x18"(H)]. Some sites have larger food lockers. Storing all of your food items, toiletries and coolers is required for the protection of the bears in the area. DO NOT LEAVE FOOD IN YOUR CAR OR RV. Please dispose of all trash immediatly in the bear proof trash cans located around the campground.

Some sites are ADA accessible. Campsites 111, 113, and 119 are suitable for wheelchairs. Picnic tables at these sites have extended tops. These campsites are limited to people with disabilities.

Pets are allowed but must be kept on a 6' leash and may not be left unattended.

When you arrive, have your reservation receipt with you and check in at the kiosk at the entrance of the campground. ID will be required to occupy your site. Any questions you might have about the campground can be answered at the kiosk or any of the camp hosts on site. If you show up after the kiosk is closed (usually 5pm) then just go to your site and check back in the morning.

As with all of the campgrounds in Yosemite Valley, space is cramped and campsites are very close to each other.

North Pines is at an elevation of 4000', and is located near many of the features that make Yosemite Famous including Half Dome, Mirror Lake , Yosemite Falls , the Mist Trail , Nevada and Vernal Falls.

Cost per night is $20 and each site can accomodate up to 6 people.

Nearby Curry Village (click for a fantastic map from the National park Service) offers several restaurants including a Pizza Deck (some of the best Pizza I have ever had and should be a stop on everyone's trip to Yosemite), ice cream shop/ coffee bar, a taqueria, a Dining Pavilion (Buffet style), The Curry Village Bar and Grill serves an excellent local draft selection located next to the Pizza Deck. Also at Curry Village is a mountaineering shop and mountaineering school, a store and gift shop, an amphiteather, a public pool, showers and a lounge that has open WIFI access.

Raft and Bicycle rentals are next to Curry Village at the Curry Village Recreation Center get off at Shuttle Stop 13a.

Road conditions can change at any time. Please check road and weather before arriving at (209)372-0200 for conditions inside Yosemite, and 1-800-427-ROAD for conditions outside the park. Highway 120 over Tioga Pass from Lee Vining and the Glacier Point Road are closed seasonally.

If arriving one or more days late, call (209)372-8502. Your reservation will be forfeited if we do not hear from you within 24hrs of your arrival date.

Entrance Fee to the park is $20 per private vehicle.
